Well we did it! We were very excited to be exhibiting at the best Disibility and Independent living event in Birmingham, for the first time in our 15 years operating.
The overall experience was a very positive one, but much more tiring that we had expected.
What is the Naidex Event?
The Naidex event strives to promote the innovation and dedication to the care, rehabilitation & lifestyle of people with disabilities. There was an amazing buzz at this years event and the participants are always the best fun!
The event was attended by a colossal 12,517 visitors this year. We managed to meet many of our visitors to our stand and have a chat with them about our services and answer any questions that they had about our supported holidays with adults with learning difficulties. It was lovely to meet so many people working in our sector. Among the participants includes paralympians, celebrities, influential figures, and household names; even Warwick Davis made an appearance! Across both days, attendees gained sought-after information, inspiration and guidance.
We also made some great connections with other companies from the UK and Europe who were interested in linking with our services which we hope to develop in the future and we are sure this will benefit our service users in the coming months.
We were also offered some exciting opportunities as a result of the show and our company has been invited to speak and exhibit at a forthcoming conference in Belgium in October and at the Occupational Therapy show in November. The focus of the talks will be the benefits of holidays for Adults with Learning Difficulties. We are really look forward to these events.
Our raffle attracted a lot of interest and we are pleased to announce that this was won by Mrs E L Weekes from the Midlands. Congratulations goes to her.
